Fall Ball Sixes Finals!

On a blustery, rain-threatening autumn day, the Oshawa Fall Ball Sixes season came to a conclusion with three close and exciting games played at Oshawa Civic Field on Sunday, October 19th.

In the U7 opener, the Golden Eagles and Orange Tigers were back and forth all game which threatened to go into overtime.  However,  the Eagles scored the lone goal late in the 4th to break the 5-5 tie to win 6-5.   This was a very close division - both teams went 2-2 with only a single goal difference between them.

The 1 PM tilt between the Blue Jays and Green Machine saw a seesaw battle with the score changing hands almost every touch of the ball.  Even great defense and excellent goaltending couldn't prevent the scorers who came to play. Tied up going into the 4th, a 4 goal run by the Blue Jays was too much as they beat the Green Machine 18-14.

The Blue & Red final was very interesting!  The teams were tied after each quarter, 3-3, 7-7, 11-11until the Red team scored late in the 4th to win 15-14.  A highly entertaining game that could have gone either way were it not for some excellent goaltending and timely stops.

Congrats to all the players, parents, and volunteers for putting this season on!
